Where is Monsters and Monstera located?
We’re based in Reston, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. While we don’t have a physical store, our user-friendly website makes it easy to browse and purchase your favorite plants from anywhere.
Can I visit Monsters and Monstera in person?
Currently, Monsters And Monstera operates exclusively online, allowing us to focus on reaching plant lovers everywhere through our seamless website shopping experience.
Will I get the exact plant in the photo?
Unless the listing says “Exact Plant”, all plants are Grower’s Choice. That means you’ll receive a plant similar to the photos shown, carefully selected by Matt for quality. The photos are a reference, not the exact plant.
How do I know which plant is right for my home?
Each listing includes light, water, and humidity requirements. You can also browse by plant needs on our site. Still unsure? Reach out—we’re happy to recommend plants that will thrive in your space.
Do you provide care instructions?
Yes! Every plant comes with care details on the product page, and we have additional guides and blog posts online. Questions after purchase? Just ask—we’re here to help.
Are any plants pet-friendly?
Yes. We offer a curated collection of non-toxic plants such as Peperomia, Calathea, and Hoya. These are safe for cats and dogs, though we still recommend keeping them out of reach to avoid upset stomachs.
What are your shipping costs and delivery times?
- Shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and location.
- Standard shipping: 3–7 business days.
- Expedited: 1–2 business days.
- Processing time: 5–7 business days before shipment.
All orders include tracking.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes! We ship to all 50 U.S. states (including Alaska and Hawaii). We do not ship internationally or provide phytosanitary certificates.
Can I cancel or change my order?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, contact us right away—we may be able to help. Once shipped, no changes or cancellations can be made.
What if my plant arrives damaged?
If your plant arrives in poor condition:
- Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
- Include your order number and clear, unedited photos of the plant, packaging, roots, and foliage.
- Do not repot, cut, or alter the plant before submitting photos.
Late claims or altered plants may not qualify for replacement or refund.
Where do you ship from?
We ship from Reston, VA, and also offer local pickup by appointment.
Are sales final?
Yes. Because live plants are perishable, all sales are final—we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges.
If you’d like to see photos of the exact plant before shipping, we’re happy to provide them on request. With photos you will know exactly what to expect when your order arrives.
Chargebacks: By purchasing, you agree that chargebacks are not permitted. All terms are clearly stated before checkout, and any disputes must be handled directly with us. Attempted chargebacks violate our policy and may result in denial of future orders.
